As the founder of Fabrinox, André Visser now serves as Group CEO, focusing his energy on Business Development—especially within the projects and installations space. With decades of industry experience and a deep understanding of client needs, André continues to live out his passion for building lasting customer relationships and unlocking new markets for Fabrinox. His vision and entrepreneurial spirit remain a driving force behind the company’s growth and innovation.

Du Toit Britz

Shareholder, Director, Chairman

BCom (Hons) in Accounting / MCom in Business Management / CA(SA)

Du Toit Britz became Chairman of Fabrinox in 2023, following his involvement as a consultant from 2019 and co-owner and director from 2021. He is responsible for ensuring strategic alignment, guiding leadership, and overseeing progress toward long-term goals.

A qualified Chartered Accountant, Du Toit completed his articles at KPMG and began his career at Eskom during its time as the world’s lowest-cost electricity producer. He then joined Omnia Fertilizer before discovering his passion in retail. At Verimark, he played a key role in the company’s turnaround and led its JSE listing, followed by a role as Head of Finance at Clicks. In 2012, he founded his own private equity firm.

Today, Du Toit manages investments in Zone Fitness, Westcor Holdings, and Fabrinox, and is a non-executive director at Verimark. He brings a strong mix of financial, retail, and operational expertise to his role.

Wessel van Zyl

Managing Director

“Following a strategic restructuring in 2023, Wessel van Zyl was appointed as Managing Director, taking over the day-to-day operational leadership previously held by founder André Visser. André remains actively involved in the business, continuing to play a key role in his capacity as founder and in group-level initiatives. With close to 20 years of diversified professional development, and qualifications in both law and business, Wessel brings deep multidisciplinary experience and a proven track record in leadership, manufacturing, and business development.

Previously part of the executive team at TWK Group and Managing Director at BedRock (Pty) Ltd, Wessel is known for his analytical approach, strategic clarity, and people-driven leadership. His vision for Fabrinox is to strengthen client-centric operations and position the company for long-term resilience and global competitiveness.

Sergio Davids

Head of Quality Assurance & Human Capital

Postgraduate Diploma: Business Management and Administration

Since joining Fabrinox in 2023, Sergio has brought over 15 years of experience in FMCG, automation, and manufacturing. As a certified lead auditor for ISO 9001, 22000, and 14001, he combines technical expertise with a strong commitment to quality and compliance.

Leading both Quality Assurance and Human Capital, Sergio focuses on aligning people, processes, and performance, believing that engaged teams are key to meeting customer expectations and fostering continuous improvement. With quality at the core of everything Fabrinox does, Sergio and his team are dedicated to ensuring every product meets the highest standards of precision and reliability, from start to finish.

Francois Vermaak

Head of Sales & Manufacturing Operations

BEd

Francois Vermaak joined Fabrinox in February 2025, bringing 14 years of experience in the component manufacturing industry, including over six years as Sales Manager at Vulcan Steel Manufacturing. With a unique background as a former teacher and a strong foundation in customer engagement, Francois combines operational insight with a people-first approach. Francois gained valuable experience in the industry under the guidance of Joost Smuts during his time at TW Profile services in Gauteng. As one off the biggest service centres in the country Francois was exposed to multiple industries and found a special interest in abrasion resistant steel manufacturing under guidance of Leon Coetzee. This all led to Francois starting his own Component manufacturing company in the Gauteng region before relocating to Cape Town.

Now leading both Sales and Manufacturing Operations, he is committed to delivering service excellence and building long-term customer relationships. His focus on operational efficiency and responsiveness ensures that Fabrinox continues to grow as a trusted, world-class manufacturing partner.

Retief Scheepers

Head of Fabrication: Engineering Solutions & Projects

BEng (Mechanical Engineering) / Post Graduate Diploma: Business Management

Retief Scheepers has been with Fabrinox for over twelve years, bringing extensive experience in production management, project coordination, and steel fabrication. He previously served in the capacity of Divisional Head of Fabrinox Projects and Head of Production, where he successfully led cross-functional teams and drove process improvements across multiple industries.

In his current role, Retief oversees engineering solutions and project execution, applying his deep technical expertise and practical leadership to deliver high-precision, customer-focused results. With a relentless drive to challenge the norm and enhance efficiency, he ensures that every project delivers long-term value for Fabrinox clients.

Daniel Beukes

Head of Business Optimisation & IT

BEng (Industrial Engineering)

Daniel leads Fabrinox’s business optimisation and IT strategy with a clear focus on integrating smart technologies and enhancing operational efficiency. He champions data-driven decision-making across the organisation to streamline processes and boost performance.

As part of Fabrinox’s ongoing commitment to innovation, Daniel is driving the implementation of new business systems designed to improve efficiency and transparency. These advancements are unlocking significant improvements, not only internally but also for our customers.

Alrick Boraine

Head of Supply Chain

BTech (Mechanical Engineering)

Alrick Boraine began his journey at Fabrinox in 2014 as a Sales Engineer, later advancing to Sales Manager before stepping into his current role in 2020. With a BTech in Mechanical Engineering and a unique background in clinical pathology, he brings strong analytical skills and a deep understanding of industry dynamics to the Supply Chain function.

Alrick leads with a focus on long-term sustainability, recognising that strong, trust-based relationships with suppliers are critical to maintaining quality, consistency, and resilience. Under his leadership, Fabrinox’s supply chain continues to reflect the company’s values through reliability, collaboration, and forward thinking.

Michelle Brook

Head of Finance

Michelle Brook joined Fabrinox in 2023, bringing with her over two decades of experience in financial leadership across the construction, mining and manufacturing sectors. Her career includes key roles at AfriSam, Holcim South Africa, Robor, and HSH Construction Africa. As Head of Finance at Fabrinox, she oversees the company’s financial operations with a strong focus on efficiency, sustainability, and strategic growth.

Her deep industry knowledge and disciplined approach to financial management ensure that Fabrinox remains future-focused and financially resilient, supporting growth across all areas of the business.
